Let It Snow

A few days before snow hit Provo pretty bad, Brandon surprised me with a night in Park City, where the snow had freshly fallen. It was soooo beautiful there- it took my breath away. I felt like I was in a snowglobe. We spent the afternoon shopping at the outlets and then went out to dinner.

Then we got to the Stein Eriksen lodge where we decided to check out the heated pool and hottub. It was so much fun swimming and hottubbing while it was snowing outside! We stayed surprisingly warm. Then I took a relaxing bath while Brandon watched tv in his robe :)

This is the view we woke up to that morning (literally... I took this picture while looking out our window). How gorgeous!! I couldn't stop looking at the beautiful scenery.

We spent the morning walking around the lodge to look at the shops, at Stein Eriksen's trophies and awards (he was an olympic skiing gold medalist in the 50's), and at the skiiers- there was a ski lift and ski hill right there at the lodge. Then we grabbed breakfast and hit up the outlets again to make sure we didn't miss any good sales anywhere!

This pile of shopping bags is also beautiful scenery :) I created this masterpiece by throwing all the bags on the bed after lugging them into the house. I love Christmas shopping!

On Saturday night, we had our niece and nephew over for a slumber party (aka we were babysitting so their parents could throw a Christmas party). We got out all our blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, and junk food, had a dance party, watched Polar Express, ate popcorn, and tuckered those little guys out so we put them to bed until their parents picked them up later that night. It was a lot of fun. Anna, our niece, asked if we could have a pillow fight because no slumber party is a slumber party without a pillow fight :) And Andrew, our nephew, told his mom earlier that day that he needed 2 things at the slumber party: dancing and candy :) We made sure those kids went home satisfied.
