The first weekend of October we always watch General Conference for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and Josh was so excited to see the Prophet on TV! He pulled his little chair up really close to the tv and watched. I thought it was the cutest thing. For the Sunday afternoon session of General Conference we went on a Sunday drive to Blue Ridge Parkway to see the Fall leaves that had changed colors. It's a pretty drive. We stopped to let Josh wiggle and took a few family pictures with a tripod and timer.
Brandon, being the thoughtful and fun guy that he is, planned a family picnic in the park. It was a park downtown we hadn't gone to before. It was a fun family activity.
When it's football season, Brandon is especially busy at work so we don't see him a lot during the week. So that means I put both kids to bed on my own. It can be kind of crazy sometimes if Emma is tired and fussy and Josh is hyper and tantrumy but sometimes it goes smoothly and it's really special to sit there with both of them while we read books and sing songs together. And sometimes Josh gets snuggly and plays with Emma's hair while we sing.

We turned Josh's crib into a toddler bed and he loves it. He woke up a few times during the first few nights but he's been pretty good since.
Lunchtime and playtime in the Nursery Room at church while Brandon's in Ward Council meeting.

For one of our weekly get-togethers with our friends Rachel, Winnie, and Florian, we decorated Halloween sugar cookies.
Emma turned 4 months old! At her checkup I laid her on the table and the paper must have felt funny on her feet so she started kicking her legs really fast until finally it was all bunched up and there was no more left to get. Then she just laid there. It was really funny... maybe you had to be there :).

Our friend Clark turned 1 and had a little birthday party.
Josh kept sneaking Clark's Trix cereal off his tray.
