Josh played with the presents he got the rest of the day- kinetic sand (awesome stuff), magic grow capsules, noise putty, retracting pirate daggar, and an I Spy Pirate book.
We celebrated his birthday on Friday. We had Swedish pancakes (per his request) for breakfast and then he opened presents from us and from Grandma and Grandpa.
Then we went to music class and after music class Benson came with us to have lunch at Burger King.

Then Brandon took Josh and Benson to Bounce 'n Play all afternoon. They had a blast and Josh came home happy, tired, and red-cheeked :-). Josh has been asking to go to Bounce 'n Play for his birthday for months, or longer, and we didn't promise anything. We surprised him and told him on our way there and he was so excited. Afterward he was really grateful (that makes doing fun things so much more fun :-)).

Then our friends the Lewises came over for dinner and birthday cake (Josh asked for blue cake with blue frosting).
Brandon made his famous delicious lettuce wraps... sooooo good, and Josh's favorite: Trader Joe's orange chicken.
It was a little hard for Emma to have so much be all about Josh, especially to not get any presents. The morning after his birthday she had quite a few meltdowns, she'd had enough.
Josh's aunt Polly sent him a BYU t-shirt (something he's been wanting forEVERRRRR) and his favorite candy Sour Patch Kids (which he thought were especially cool since the bag said BYU on it too). Polly rocks.
