I had to work during the day but my family kept very busy. They bought Trevor the rest of his mission stuff. They went and watched Brandon's studio taping of his show, True Blue, where Brandon actually hosted one of the episodes they were taping. My sister, Abigail, who will be a senior in high school next year, went on a BYU campus tour and met with an academic adviser to get all the information about college prep.
I was able to take a few afternoons off to join them for some festivities like going shopping. My sisters had to go to the store Forever 21 because they don't have one where they live so we spent an afternoon there and helped Amanda find a new dress for graduation. Trevor treated us to a few meals at the Cannon Center. We had dinner one night with Grandpa Johnson in American Fork and afterward we went to the temple with Trevor.Thursday afternoon was the Graduation Commencement ceremony. Afterward, Brandon's family hosted a Graduation Barbecue for Amanda and Brandon's brother, Craig. The food was delicious and we got to play Rock Band.
Friday I took most of the day off. We had lunch and then went to Amanda's School of Health and Human Performance Convocation ceremony. Friday night we got my family all packed up and ready to go and then spent a few hours together before they had to head out of town. It was so hard to say goodbye, as it always is.
I'm so proud of Amanda for graduating from BYU. She has a bright future ahead of her and I can't wait to see where life takes her.
