We had a fun and festive Valentine's Day this year. Brandon made us pink heart waffles for breakfast (that was fun since Brandon doesn't really like breakfast, therefore doesn't make it :)). Brandon got me gorgeous flowers and chocolates. Josh helped me hang pink and red streamers. Then Josh and Winnie got to spend the entire day together! How lucky. Rachel and Winnie came over to our house in the morning to play and have lunch. They opened their Valentine's Balls full of goodies. Then Winnie stayed over at our house for her nap while Rachel left. After they woke up from their naps, we went back to Winnie's house. Brandon and I went out to dinner while Josh stayed at Winnie's house for their own dinner date of pink heart-shaped pancakes, eggs, bacon, and fruit. They played and then had a special treats left for them on the front doorstep from the Valentine's Phantom!

Back in college I made myself a big flannel tie blanket. It's definitely been a favorite blanket of mine and even as far back as when Brandon and I started dating, I saw him eying it :). Since being married it's grown to be his favorite blanket too. Well during winter months this blanket is a hot commodity and I decided that it was time for Brandon to have his own. So I made him his very own flannel tie blanket and gave it to him on Valentine's Day. He's been sleeping with it every night since :)
Josh also said "I love you" for the first time the night before Valentine's Day as I laid him down for bed. He said "I love you" and squeezed my arm (which is now his new thing that he does every time I lay him down to go to sleep and I love it). I'd been having a rough few days so I really needed that extra love. It melted my heart. I sure love my two darling valentines.

Really cute! Especially that last story about Josh saying I love you and giving you those arm squeezes! Those little things make a big difference!
