Brandon and Amy first met at a family home evening activity in their singles ward at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Brandon thought Amy was cute but he had a girlfriend. Amy thought Brandon was cute but he had a girlfriend :) They had a few more interactions besides their weekly FHE activities because Amy's roommate Lindsey and Brandon's roommate Nick started dating. Brandon coincidentally broke up with his girlfriend soonafter he met Amy and after a week past, he asked Amy out. After their first date, Brandon was very interested. Amy was too but she had a few other prospects and wasn't quite
ready for a serious relationship. After spending more time with Brandon and then hearing a rumor that Brandon was about to pursue someone else, she decided to go for it. They started dating November 2005.By the end of April 2006, Amy was contemplating going home for the summer to work like she had done in the past, unsure of where their relationship was headed, but Brandon wouldn't let her go. He proposed May 5th and they set a wedding date for July 8th. They got married in the Nauvoo, Illinois temple, honeymooned at a gorgeous resort in Orlando, Florida, and moved back to Provo for their last year at Brigham Young University.
