Summer vacation to Atlanta

We went to visit Brandon's sister Ashley and her husband Erin in Atlanta, Georgia for a week. We had so much fun. We did a lot of fun things and really enjoyed spending time with Ashley and Erin. They knew all the ins and outs of the city and helped us spend our time wisely.

One day we went shopping at the outlets and another day at the second largest mall in the South. One night we went to Swallow at the Hollow, which is a southern barbecue restaurant that has country songwriters come perform songs that have been sung by famous country artists. One guy had written Whiskey Lullaby sung by Brad Paisley that is the song of the year. They were all really good.We went to an Atlanta Braves baseball game when they played the San Francisco Giants. It was really hot out but we had our spray fans so we survived and we had great seats so it was worth it. It was really fun being at a pro baseball game.

We went to the Coca-Cola factory. The tour was really interesting. We watched a 4-D movie they show there about how the secret ingredient to Coke is the people who drink it. It was precious :) Then we watched Coke commercials, which was fun to see older ones and ones we'd never seen.

Then we tried different Coca-Cola drinks from around the world. Ashley and Erin tricked us into trying The Beverly (from Europe), saying it was their favorite, but it was disgusting! It numbs your mouth and tastes so gross. We almost threw up. Don't worry, we'll get them back...

Then we went to visit my good friend Megan and her husband Mike who live in Atlanta. They had us over for dinner and it was so much fun to see them. Our last night there, we went to see the broadway West Side Story at the Fox theater. The Fox theater is so cool inside. The ceiling looks like a night sky, with stars and moving clouds.

It was so much fun visiting Ashley and Erin and being able to do all these fun things. Ashley and Erin totally hooked us up and we had a blast. It was a great vacation!
