2 1/2 months old

Josh had his 2 month doctor appointment yesterday. He's actually closer to 2 1/2 months old though now. He was 11 weeks old this past Monday. He weighed 14.2 lbs and measured 2 feet long (both 75th %ile). The doctor said he has great skin, is developmentally advanced, and is a perfect healthy little boy. Sadly he did have to get some shots and he was not happy about it. He did great with the oral vaccine but he screamed at the top of his lungs and cried lots of tears after he got the shots. It was so sad. He calmed down after a little while. He was a little tired and fussy the rest of the day and today too-- he just wants to be held and sometimes has little crying outbursts.

Josh is growing and developing a lot. A few weeks ago he'd grown out of 0-3 month size clothes so he's been in 3-6 month size clothes and could be in 6-9 month size really soon. He's a lot more vocal and he likes his voice to be heard so he randomly yells or squeals and it's really cute. He loves to have "conversations" and really gets into it sometimes. He has "conversations" with the Baby Einstein videos he watches too. His vision is constantly broadening so it's fun to watch him look around. He especially loves lights. He'll jerk his head towards a sound to see what's there. He has recently started the head-butting/nuzzling into my chest/neck/shoulder when I hold him so I have to be careful to keep my head clear so he doesn't hurt himself. He's still sleeping through the night, is a great eater, falls asleep easy, and hardly cries. We have so much fun with him.

I posted a video below and there are lots more where that came from under "Videos" on the left side of our blog.
