Every year we love to go to Short Pump mall to see all the lights and Christmas decorations. This year the big Christmas tree was also a Christmas TUNNEL that played music when you were inside, coolest thing ever.
One really warm day at the park there was a digger right there.
Josh had a Christmas movie night with his friend Benson. We had pizza for dinner and treats and popcorn while we watched Polar Express.
Brandon was out of town but we went to his work party without him- pizza, popcorn, Christmas movies on the jumbotron and I won a $25 Visa gift card in the raffle!
Christmas Book Group at Gretchen's new dream house. Our best friend Tiffany drove over 2 hours to come- best Christmas surprise ever. AND we Skyped with our other best friend Kerstin who moved this past summer so we got to see her new baby and talk to her. It was such a fun night.

Great Wolf Lodge in Richmond! We swam in their indoor water park (didn't take any pictures of the water park) for a few hours, got dinner, saw Santa, went mini bowling, got ice cream, did special Storytime with snow at the end, slept, had breakfast, learned about animals with Willy the Wolf, and went on our way. It was a great time.
Not pictured but one of our favorite adventures was joining the youth in our ward to go Christmas caroling. Brother Snow in our ward lives on a farm and knows all of his neighbors and told them to expect us this particular night. We sat on the back of his big trailer truck covered in hay while we drove (slowly) down the street singing Christmas songs and Brother Snow would honk and stop periodically so people would come out of their houses to listen. It was the best way to carol. One house we stopped at gave us goodies and hot chocolate. Josh and Emma had the time of their lives. It was really fun.
This year we wanted to Share The Gift so we made treats for all our neighbors in our cul de sac and attached pass-along cards. It was a great experience to talk with all of our neighbors and share with them what is most important to us- the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Both kids were sick on Christmas Sunday so we only went for Sacrament Meeting and this is the only picture I got of them in their Christmas Sunday best. My mom made Emma's ADORABLE skirt.
Sunday night we went to the live nativity pageant at the Metro Richmond Zoo. It was really neat. The kids got candy canes, gold (chocolate) coins from a Wise Man, and got to see a camel!
The night before Christmas Eve we went into town to run a few last minute errands and went out to dinner. We are LOVING having Brandon around so much this holiday break. Every day Josh says, "Dad, are you staying home today? ALLL day????" and is so happy when the answer keeps being yes.
