Nativity

This past Friday night was our ward's Christmas party and the Primary kids acted out the Nativity. It was adorable. Emma was a sheep with a fleece vest thing, ears that went on around her head with elastic, and painted her nose black. She was darling. It was funny though because she was sitting on the stage front and center (with her feet dangling over) and the elastic on her ears slipped off her head but the ears were hanging by her bow she was wearing so she was trying to yank the ears off but they were stuck on her bow. Finally she yanked hard enough that her bow fell off and onto the ground and she kind of freaked out that her bow fell down. Then she just dropped her sheep ears to the ground. Then she wanted her fleece vest off so she was lifting it up but it's elastic at the bottom so it lifted up the shirt she was wearing underneath too so there she is front and center lifting her shirt up baring her cute tummy, haha. She was distressed and saw me and started whimpering for me so I went up and got her. Haha. Oh man. It was classic.

I loved that our ward did a Nativity. Josh learned the story of Christ's birth because of this experience and loved telling me the story. It was also a great way for him to learn the Christmas hymns. Emma also loved being part of the show and made the story of Christ's birth more meaningful to her. She loves Christmas hymns that say "shepherd" because Josh was a shepherd :-)
