Brandon and I are having a baby BOY March 8th!

We are so excited! I'm 17 weeks along and the pregnancy has been great. I haven't been sick at all. I got tired sometimes during 1st trimester but that's it. I'm not really showing too much but very recently a small but unmistakable bump has developed and is getting bigger. Right now this baby boy weighs about 5 ounces and is about 5 inches long.

At my previous doctor's office in Provo, they were planning on doing just 1 ultrasound when I was about 20 weeks but at my new doctor's office here they do an ultrasound at your very first appointment early on in the pregnancy to make sure everything looks okay and to determine a more accurate due date and then they do another ultrasound when you're about 22 weeks. So since I hadn't had an ultrasound yet and I was a new patient, they wanted me to have an ultrasound so I had one last week and I was just excited to see the baby, I didn't think they'd be able to determine the gender. But my mom told me that I was far enough along that they might be able to see the gender. I didn't want to get my hopes up but I couldn't help but hope :).

Well the first thing the sonographer said after she started the ultrasound was, "Do you want to know the gender?" and Brandon and I both said "YES!" and she said, "It's a boy!" The ultrasound was so incredible-- it was so fun to see him moving and jumping around. I didn't get enough. I could've sat there and watched him forever. The more I learn about the baby the more I love him.
