Jason came to visit

My brother Jason visited Charlottesville on his way to DC for an internship. We picked him up at the Richmond Airport after he had spent a few days in the ATL with our sister Ashley. Jas was only going to be here a few days, so we tried to pack in all Charlottesville has to offer. On Friday he went to work with me and I let him watch the tv show I am currently making. It hadn't aired yet, so I was interested to hear his opinion on it because he knows very little about Virginia Football. He said it was good, but I have never known Jason to say anything negative, so the verdict is still out. After that we played basketball with some of the Men's Basketball assistant coaches in the arena. This is something I have started to do on Fridays, and I love it. Jason wore his BYU shirt and BYU shorts. One of the assistant coaches used to be the head coach at New Mexico and Colorado State, so every time I scored on Jason while he was guarding me, the coach would say, "I don't think Coach Rose would approve of that defense." Also after Jason missed a shot he said, "This isn't the Marriot Center." Even though he was heckled, he still enjoyed it.

That afternoon I had to work, so I dropped Jason off at the Rotunda on "Grounds" ("Grounds" means campus). He wandered around for a little while and then ended up at a women's tennis match. He loves lady tennis. For dinner we went to a local kabob place and then tried to watch the Virginia baseball game. The game was rained out so we came back to our place and played Mario Kart with our brother Craig online. Craig obviously spends way to much time on the game and worked us every race.

Saturday was packed with more Virginia Athletics. We watched baseball, men's tennis, and men's lacrosse. Jason enjoyed being on the sidelines for the Men's Lacrosse NCAA Tournament game. We also went to the outdoor downtown mall and got dinner and ice cream there. The weather was perfect for all the time we spent outdoors. On Sunday, he went to church with us and then I dropped him off at the train station to take a train to DC. It was a fun quick few days with the little bro. Josh gave him a few smiles and loved meeting his Uncle Jas. We are excited to have him close in DC and are excited to have him show us around the nation's capitol later this summer.
